The Fabric · Supima® Cotton Story

The cotton

that is 1% of
the world.

Supima is a superior type of cotton grown in the USA. It represents less than 1% of all cotton grown worldwide. What makes it unique is the extra-long staple fibre that gives it extraordinary strength, softness, and colour retention.

Extra Long Staple

Not all cottons

are 1% created equal.

We sent our tees to a government-approved lab. The numbers tell the story. Supima fibre measures 37.62 mm versus 29.78 mm for combed cotton nearly 26% longer. That extra length is what makes the weave smoother, the fabric stronger, and the feel softer.

Bundle strength of 33.3 g/tex versus 23.6 — 41% stronger. A lower micronaire of 3.67 means finer, more mature fibres. This isn’t marketing. These are measurements.

30 washes. Every metric.

Shrinkage after 30 washes

−1.96%

vs

−4–8%

Regular Cotton

Our pre-shrunk Supima tee shrinks minimally. Regular cotton can shrink 4–8% in the first wash alone. What you buy is what you keep wearing.

Colour Fastness

4

out of 5

Tested at 60°C wash. Rating 4/5 — colours hold their depth through repeated washing. No fading, no bleeding.

The surface stays smooth. Extra-long fibres mean fewer loose ends to ball up. After heavy use, the fabric still looks like new.

Formaldehyde

Not Detected

Formaldehyde is a chemical used in cheaper garments to retain colour and resist wrinkles. It’s carcinogenic and causes skin irritation. Ours has none. Tested and confirmed.
